What is Fruit Slice?
Fruit Slice is a free online Chinese typing game. Fruit flies up with a word on it, and students type the word with a Chinese input method to slice the fruit. A fruit that falls costs a few points, and the round ends when every word has had its turn, with a total time and a score. You choose the words, so it works for reviewing vocabulary while practicing typing.
In the classroom
It needs a keyboard, so it fits a computer lab where each student has a machine. Choose the words and difficulty, then share the link. You can also put it on the projector and have students come up to type in turns, then compare scores and times at the end.
At home
