Group Maker is a free online random group generator for teachers. Paste your class list and it splits everyone into balanced teams in one shuffle — choose how many groups you want (2–10) or how many students per group, and it does the maths. Lock a group you're happy with and reshuffle the rest, then copy the result or send the teams straight to the Team Scoreboard.
In the classroom
Drop in your names, pick the number of groups or the size per group, and hit Shuffle. Use it for project teams, station rotations, talk partners, or game sides. Lock any grouping you want to keep before shuffling again, then copy the list to your notes or push the teams into the scoreboard to start scoring.
